In the geotextile sector, Meraklon has developed a new high tenacity fibre, resistant to the UV radiation.

The objective was to obtain a fibre able to bring to the needle-punched non-woven an high tenacity in the traction and perforation test. This property has been achieved thanks to the know-how (technology and specific raw-materials) developed by Meraklon for this application.

Moreover, the fibre is stabilized against the UV radiation, being able to bring to the non-woven 6 months of sun-light resistance, in compliance with European normative EN 12224.

The fibre is commonly available in the title 3,3 – 4,4, - 6,7 dtex, with a length of 60-70-90mm.
